Dear MoveOn member,
Jeffrey Epstein committed heinous crimes for decades, shielded by his power and wealth and aided and abetted by close co-conspirators like Ghislaine Maxwell. And as more and more names are released, we must demand that every single one of Epstein's co-conspirators be held accountable—no matter how much money or influence they have.
Epstein's co-conspirators helped recruit and abuse victims for years while using their power and privilege to avoid consequences. Not charging them is an affront to survivors everywhere, and to everyone demanding the truth about who is complicit in Epstein's abuse of young women and girls.
Survivors deserve transparency and accountability. Sign the petition to demand the Department of Justice (DOJ) charge Epstein's co-conspirators!
After months of nonstop scrutiny and public pressure related to Epstein and the cover-up of those involved in his decades of abuse, the DOJ recently released millions of pages of documents from the Epstein files, along with videos and images.
These documents reveal at least eight people listed as co-conspirators, including Les Wexner, billionaire and former CEO of Victoria's Secret; Lesley Groff, Epstein's longtime secretary; the late modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel; and Maxwell—who was convicted of sex trafficking charges and is serving a 20-year prison sentence.1
Not to mention, four other names are still redacted.
So far, Ghislaine Maxwell is the only person who has been charged in connection with Epstein. Still, she has refused to answer questions from the House Oversight Committee in her ongoing campaign for clemency.2 And Trump said he won't rule out helping her.3
Every single person who participated in and enabled Epstein's crimes must be held accountable for their abuse. Tell the DOJ to release every name and charge all of Epstein's co-conspirators!
For decades, the crimes committed by Epstein and his co-conspirators, like Maxwell, were hidden behind closed doors while countless victims were silenced.4 Their wealth and political connections allowed them to evade justice for years.
Les Wexner has downplayed his relationship with Epstein—even though his ties date back to the 1980s—and provided little new information during his Oversight Committee deposition earlier this month. Representative Robert Garcia from California confirmed that "[Wexner] denied everything, and quite frankly, it would have been nice to see more remorse."5
Epstein and his co-conspirators evaded accountability for their heinous crimes because of their power and status. Enough. We refuse to continue the pattern of protecting the powerful and wealthy at the expense of survivors. We will not stop fighting until every one of Epstein's co-conspirators is held responsible.
These people are blatantly complicit in Epstein's crimes, and the DOJ must bring charges against them—and anyone else implicated—immediately!
Thanks for all you do.
