As the war on Iran rages, war hawks and war profiteers are spending millions of dollars in primary elections to defeat anti-war progressive candidates.
AIPAC, United Democracy Project, Democratic Majority for Israel, and the top 10 largest defense contractors have spent tens of millions in this primary election cycle, with just a handful of these groups spending over $13,000,000 in the state of Illinois alone.1
Democratic Representatives Henry Cuellar, Jared Golden, and Greg Landsman all voted to strike down a War Powers Resolution in the House, which, if passed, would've given Congress the authority to rein in Trump's destructive war.
What do those three Democratic reps have in common? They've all received money from the war hawks and profiteers that are completely behind this reckless war.2
Their votes follow their influence. That's why pro-war groups will continue to try and fund a controlled opposition that prevents progressive anti-war candidates from being elected in Democratic primaries.
MoveOn members, since the beginning, have stood up to war hawks and profiteers. That's why we want to know what you think about these groups' getting involved in the primary process.
