We’re here yet again. The Supreme Court has spent another year chipping away at our rights. Just in the past few months, we’ve seen a number of harmful decisions—from gutting the Voting Rights Act and paving the way for Republicans to silence Black and brown voters, to taking away the rights of transgender youth, to now allowing political parties to spend endlessly in our elections, and so much more.1
Our democracy is eroding at the hands of our nation’s highest court. The Supreme Court has become a politicized machine working for the powerful and wealthy.
But thankfully some leaders are waking up to this reality. With more and more Democrats speaking out to support court reform and pushing for bold change, there is still hope to fix the out-of-control court and build a system that works for us all. But it’s going to take all of us turning out voters this November and keeping the pressure up.
